Sometimes we've got too many other things going on to want to fuss with word choice, length of writing, formatting and use of keywords. Sometimes we need encouragement and coaching to get over the hurdle of making time for writing in our all-too-busy world. Sometimes we don't have the words we need for the specific task at hand. Let me help you. As someone with years of rigorous writing experience as required in major US organizations, as well as creative and memoir writing, I can save you time, money, headaches, worry and leave you feeling at ease, relieved and pleased. Copy Writing
Are

am especially interested in working with creative people - writers,

special affinity for people in the IT field who tend to be analytical
and innovative. It's just a good match with how I think.
Copy Editing
Ever
noticed how easy it is to edit someone else's work, but how hard it is
to edit your own? It's like a rule of nature that when you do your own
writing, you need to get someone else to edit it. They do it faster,
easier and probably better. Need something reviewed? Call now and let's

Freelance Writing
Do
you want an article written for your web site, for your magazine or
newspaper? Do you need an extra writer for your project? Do you want to
feature yourself or your company in an article? I am available for
writing articles about people, businesses, nature, trends and more. For
local publication, I take my own photos and edit them. Depending on
what projects I am involved in, I can be available immediately, or
within a week or two, call and let's talk.
Consulting and Coaching
I
consider the difference between consulting and coaching to be one of
content. The consultant is an expert in content and shares that content
with her client. The coach is an expert on awareness, process,
motivation and insight. She provides a crystal clear mirror for her
clients to see what they know, where they find momentum and where they
get stuck. The nature of the coaching work if far more intimate,
requiring participation and engagement with the client.
Consulting
As
a consultant I can advise you about your writing; about setting up a
workable book development project plan or about places to publish your
writing online. I can talk with you about self-publishing options with
no up-front investment or ones with some up front investment. When you
hire me as a consultant I am your advisor, giving you the information
you need and making recommendations.
Author Services and Book Coaching
Is
there a book in you? Is there a story that you know you want to tell
but just haven't been able to make time for it, or when you do, you
just aren't able to get through it? If you haven't yet had an
experience with a coach, you might be delighted to find out what a
tremendous boost it is to your productivity to have someone who
genuinely believes in your work and helps you see what you need to do
to accomplish your goal.
I
coach authors and writers of creative content, memoirs and material
related to the social sciences, human beings and living creatures. I
coach by phone, and sometimes in person for those who live nearby in
the Triangle region of North Carolina.
As
you might expect, sometimes we can provide immediate turn-around, and at
other times, due to prior commitments, we'll negotiate a completion
date.

Rates. My rates are based on an hourly base of $70, for which you
always get more than just an hour's work, because I always deliver
more, and things always take longer than we expect.
When additional resources are brought in for specific work, rates are based on theirs.
Project Quotes. I will quote project rates based on a reasonable estimate of what it takes to get the job done.
On Location. For in-person meetings I charge more if we meet at your location, or somewhere close to you.
